Every quartz project includes templating after cabinet install, fabrication, professional installation, and seam-minimization. Quartz is heavier than granite for the same slab size, so handling and seam placement matter. We do this every week and our installers know what they are doing.

How much does quartz cost installed?

Quartz typically runs $50 to $120 per square foot installed depending on the brand, pattern, and edge profile. Marble-look quartz patterns are typically priced higher than solid colors. We give you a written quote after templating.
Is quartz better than granite?

Better is the wrong word — they are different. Quartz is engineered (crushed stone + resin), non-porous (no sealing), more uniform in pattern, and warranted. Granite is 100 percent natural stone, requires periodic sealing, and has more visual variation. Quartz wins on maintenance; granite wins on uniqueness. We show samples of both at the estimate.
Do I need to seal quartz?

No. Quartz is non-porous. You don't need to reseal it ever. Day-to-day cleaning is just soap and water.
Is quartz heat-resistant?

Quartz handles normal cooking heat fine, but the resin binders can be damaged by direct, sustained high heat — like setting a hot pan straight from the stove on the counter without a trivet. We recommend trivets for hot pans regardless of countertop material.
Will my quartz have seams?

Most kitchen layouts have one or two seams placed where they are least visible. Quartz seams are usually less noticeable than granite because of the more uniform pattern. We plan seam placement during templating.
How long does a quartz countertop project take?

From templating to install typically runs 1-2 weeks. Templating happens after cabinets are in; fabrication takes most of the time; install itself is a single day for most kitchens.
Can quartz be used in bathrooms?
