Chicago flooring and remodeling services
Granite has been the natural-stone countertop of choice for decades because every slab is one of a kind. The mineral patterns, color depth, and visual texture are not something quartz or laminate can replicate. For homeowners who want their kitchen to look like nothing else on the block, granite still wins.
We work with local stone yards in Southeast Michigan so you can pick your specific slab in person before fabrication. The benefit of choosing the actual slab — rather than picking from a sample tile — is that you see the variation, veining, and color depth you are getting. Two granite slabs from the same quarry can look completely different.
Every granite project includes templating after cabinet install, fabrication and edge profiling, professional installation, and sealing. We will also walk you through long-term maintenance — granite needs occasional resealing but otherwise holds up to decades of normal kitchen use.

How it works
We handle every step under one roof — no subcontractors, no project managers, no surprises mid-project.
We come to you, measure the space, and walk through your goals, timeline, and budget. No high-pressure pitch — just an honest read of what the project takes.
We bring samples or invite you to the showroom so you can see materials in person. Once you pick, we order through our distributor network so you get dealer pricing.
We schedule installation around your calendar, confirm prep details (furniture moving, old material removal, subfloor checks), and lock in start and finish dates.
Our team handles the install start to finish. No subcontractors. Site is kept clean during the work, and we communicate every day if the project takes more than one day.
We do a final walkthrough together to make sure every transition, edge, and detail meets your expectations before we call the job done.

Frequently asked
Granite typically runs $40 to $100 per square foot installed depending on the species (color/origin), the edge profile, and the slab size. Entry-level granites are competitive with quartz; rare or imported granites run higher. We give you a written quote after templating.
Granite is 100 percent natural stone — every slab is unique. Quartz is engineered with crushed stone and resin, so the pattern is more uniform across slabs. Granite needs periodic sealing; quartz doesn't. Granite has higher visual variation, which most people see as a feature; quartz is more predictable. Both are durable enough for kitchens.
Yes — granite is porous and benefits from sealing roughly every 1-3 years depending on the species and how heavily the kitchen is used. Sealing takes about 30 minutes and we walk you through how to do it during the final walkthrough.
Yes — that is the main reason to pick granite over quartz. We arrange visits to local stone yards so you can pick your specific slab and see exactly what is going into your kitchen before fabrication starts.
Most kitchen layouts can be done with one or two seams placed where they are least visible. We minimize seams during the templating phase and color-match the seam filler to the granite. Larger kitchens may need additional seams; we'll tell you up front.
From templating to install is typically 1-2 weeks. Templating happens after cabinets are in. Fabrication takes most of the time. Install itself is a single day for most kitchens.
Minor chips and small cracks can usually be filled and color-matched. Major damage typically requires a slab replacement of the affected piece. Granite is durable but it is still natural stone — it can chip if a heavy object is dropped on the edge.
Yes. Financing is available on qualifying countertop and cabinet projects. Final terms are confirmed at the in-home estimate.
